  Q & A's from Sellers

We hope that you will find the answers to these previously asked questions helpful!

How long will it take to sell my airplane?

There is no straight-forward and honest answer for this question. Even so, any answer would simply be a "prediction".

After discussing your personal expectations and your aircraft's particulars, our staff will be able to guide you in minimizing your aircraft's time in the marketplace with our experience and knowledge of the current market trends.

Your aircraft's asking price, general condition, history, and popularity will likely have a strong effect on the timing equation.

AirplanesUSA's worldwide marketing and sales expertise should help to sell your aircraft in the fastest possible time and will usually yield a better return for you than with a private sale.

You should know that AirplanesUSA helps to expedite each transaction by providing additional services to both the buyer and the seller as needed.   We also offer optional "Extended Protection Plans" which tend to increase an aircraft's value while helping to expedite its sale.  Most other aircraft brokers do not provide this option!

What would you suggest for an asking price for my airplane?

Our experience will help to assist you in determining a fair market value for your aircraft.  While some aircraft brokers might suggest an inflated asking price in hopes of motivating you to do business with them, that is not our style!

We will provide you with honest and up-to-date information to assure that that you can obtain top dollar in today's marketplace.

Within the aircraft sales industry, it is a well-known fact that aircraft owners tend to want to overprice their aircraft at first.  Who can blame them?

But even though our marketing will help to sell any aircraft, overpricing an aircraft will simply keep the aircraft in the marketplace longer while it continues to accumulate expenses (loan payments, tiedown/hangar space, insurance, routine maintenance, upcoming annuals, depreciation, etc.) costing the owner more in the long run.

It should therefore seem logical that one should start with a favorable asking price from the start so as to try to get an aircraft sold the fastest rather than having to deal with the additional expeditures along the way.

An asking price should be realistic and attractive enough to spark interest especially in difficult economic conditions.  The valuations that we provide you with are based on research compiled by industry experts.  They are the same as those obtained by aircraft financing institutions.  So, it is important to try to stay on the same page.
